With offices operating in Iowa and California and employees working remotely in the U.S., we offer a diverse and comprehensive mix of individual products––including annuities, life insurance and linked benefits––to independent financial professionals, agencies and institutions across the United States.

We support a broad distribution footprint ranging from independent agents, broker dealers, RIAs, to other large insurance marketing organizations.

Our History

Partners Advantage (pre-merger) Milestones:

  • Established in 1993
  • Scott Tietz’ book, Mergers & Acquisitions 101: What All Independent Marketing Organizations Need to Consider to Survive and Thrive in Today’s Changing Landscape published in 2011
  • First surpassed the $1 billion mark in annual annuity sales in 2014
AMZ Financial (pre-merger) Milestones:

  • Established in 2001
  • Built 1st National Indexed Universal Life product in 2005
  • In 2016 surpassed $30M in paid target life premium

March 1, 2018 – Partners Advantage and AMZ Financial merged

January 28, 2019 – Arthur J. Gallagher acquires Partners Advantage

How We Got Here: The Backstory

March 1st of 2018, Partners Advantage Insurance Services, LLC, came together with AMZ Financial Insurance Services to form one of the nation’s largest independent, national insurance marketing organizations.

It was the ideal combination of two powerhouse marketing organizations that brought different areas of expertise to the table.

When AMZ was founded, its vision was simple: Be the Indexed Life market leaders. They achieved that by focusing on Indexed Life product development, participating in the development of 12 Indexed Universal Life products, and the marketing and distribution of those products. This led to significant sales growth and the creation of additional revenue streams not found within the traditional independent marketing organization.

Partners Advantage brought sales, contracting and licensing, and new business teams complemented by the additional experience provided by a suitability and compliance team, an in-house underwriting team and an advanced markets consultant. Partners Advantage started with a focus on life insurance with a lead-driven value proposition and grew into one of the largest distributors of life insurance and annuities in the traditional independent brokerage space by leveraging 11 merger and acquisition opportunities.

In addition to Partners Advantage’s top carrier relationships with most of the prominent insurance companies in the space, AMZ brought a rich history in product development that added opportunities for proprietary products and national overrides.

Together, the organizations produced $80 million dollars of target life insurance premium and over $1 billion dollars of fixed and fixed index annuity premium annually. The distribution mix was primarily concentrated in permanent life insurance products and indexed annuities. Combined, the organization supported a broad distribution footprint ranging from independent agents, broker dealers, RIAs, to other large insurance marketing organizations.

Partners Advantage was acquired by Arthur J. Gallagher and Co. on January 28, 2019, broadening the services and support we are able to provide.
